As a Senior Accountant reporting directly to clients, a key member of our client's finance team oversees financial operations, ensures accuracy in financial reporting, and provides strategic financial guidance. The role will play a critical part in the organization's financial success and will involve direct interaction with senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing timely responses to inquiries, and addressing their accounting and financial needs.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Customize financial reports to meet the specific needs of individual clients and assist in their decision-making processes.
  • Manage and lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting journal entries.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and present actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience with US clients is mandatory
  • Knowledgeable of the basic principles of accounting and general ledger chart of accounts.
  • Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office 2007 or later (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred).
  • Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision in a matrix supervisory environment.
  • Ability to work overtime when required during month-end close and special projects.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
