Database Development & Administration (Information & Communication Technology)

Develops data-oriented systemsto meet an organization's or research team's needs. Duties include developing systems, procedures, and policies for data management in an organization, assisting colleagues in performing data-related tasks. Manages Data quality, Data security and compliance, Data Stewardship and Data transparency.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide data completeness within the given target.
  • Maintain data integrity by ensuring all data completeness and integrity.
  • Support development, enhancement, and maintenance of multiple datasets.
  • Evaluate datasets for consistency, completeness, accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Interact with customers and other teams to obtain data requirements for new and existing applications.
  • Audit data on a regular basis and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage the regular report running schedule and process.
  • Develop process improvements for data management activities.
  • Perform data analysis using statistical tools.
  • Identify and correct data entry errors.
  • Address any issues, questions and problems in accurate and timely manner.
  • Create a database for storing data dictionaries and troubleshooting problems.
  • Support and supervise information stewardship activities and management of data quality, retention and uses
  • Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
  • Develop control structures within a simple environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Educational Attainment

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT Related course.

Experience

  • At least 2 years' experience in Data management dealing with data warehousing and data lake.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Master Data Management Platform.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Business Intelligence (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense)
  • Knowledgeable in SQL and Python Script
  • Analytical and is able to communicate well in all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to Oversee, plan and coordinate assigned activities.
  • Able to gather information and document business requirements and processes.

Human Relations

  • Able to give instructions
  • Able to deliberate or discuss technical matters into layman's terms

Mental Effort

  • Able to comprehend user needs and concerns
  • High keen to details and work in the manner organize on processes

Physical Effort

  • Able to render extended work hours as required by the job
  • Ability to interface with internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to document and explain complex business operations to software vendors and developers.
