Internal Audit Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Audit Specialist to join our team. The Internal Audit Specialist will be responsible for conducting internal audits, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas of improvement, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute internal audits in accordance with established audit plans and procedures.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Identify areas of potential risk and recommend appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct interviews, review documents, and perform testing to gather relevant audit evidence.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop action plans to address audit findings and improve processes.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to internal auditing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
- At least 3 years of experience in internal auditing; work exposure in an auditing firm is an advantage
- Thorough understanding of auditing standards, techniques, and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
