This position requires a strategic leader capable of designing training content, driving innovation, and managing multiple projects. The role involves creating and delivering training content across different methodologies using ADDIE, developing training assessments and objectives using BLOOM's taxonomy, and conducting evaluations using Kirkpatrick's Four Levels. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in instructional design, excellent communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage Instructional Design Projects:
- Lead discovery sessions to identify client training needs accurately and create design proposals utilizing learning principles, current technologies, and innovative solutions.
- Design and create training content for diverse methodologies, focusing on learning experiences that prepare consultants to effectively respond to various customer interactions, including computer-based and instructor-led training.
- Develop and implement training-related assessments to align with defined objectives and ensure the effectiveness of training designs.
- Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, maintaining robust relationships and serving as an escalation point for project issues.
- Oversee project risks and issues, collaborating closely with the team to mitigate and resolve concerns efficiently.
Strategic Leadership and Performance Management:
- Analyze team performance regularly to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement a roadmap for innovation strategies, ensuring these are effectively executed and shared with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage budget approvals, maintain expense trackers, and oversee financial documents, including requisitions and invoices.
- Build and conduct Train the Trainer sessions to equip trainers with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively deliver designed training.
- Utilize Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation to assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and continuous learning improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/College Degree
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a learning and development environment focusing on training curriculum design, development, and delivery.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a learning solutions environment or similar.
- Extensive experience in Instructional Design and/or Training Delivery.
- Understanding of the ADDIE and SAM Processes for project scoping, design, and development.
- Demonstrated capability in project management, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, even those that may fall outside of core responsibilities.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and oral English.
- Deep knowledge of Adult Learning Principles, Constructivism, learning theories, and various learning models/principles.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with peers and drive diverse workgroups to collaborative solutions.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to train trainers.
