The role of Manager- Settlements is to provide support in the China and Asia Markets Operations team to facilitate Confirmations, Settlements, and Post-Settlement Investigations of Foreign Exchange, Money Market and Derivatives products. As the Team Manager, you will perform the below functions:

  • Be responsible for the accurate and timely verification and monitoring of product transactions into the various back-office operations systems and be required to liaise with traders and dealers and external parties to ensure completion of processes.
  • Perform checker or releaser function and execute daily process controls.
  • Investigate and resolve process related issues and work alongside your manager, stakeholders, clients, and internal teams within and outside of back-office operations for solutions.
  • Identify and initiate process improvements to eliminate processing risk and manual effort
In addition, you will also be expected to
  • Drive, develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, counterparties, clearing parties, vendors, Front Office Stakeholders, process teams and other enablers to assist in meeting business objectives.
  • Lead the team to complete all SLA's and perform administrative tasks related to Team and Reporting requirements.
  • Full understanding and ensure compliance with internal policy and procedural requirements as well as regulatory and statutory requirements of statutory and regulatory bodies.
  • Display a thorough understanding of the business and future team direction to assist in meeting customer needs and expectations
  • Act as mentor to the team, leading by example and encourage behaviours essential to the delivery of required output.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Graduate of any Financial related discipline

Extensive banking experience in Markets operations area

Strong knowledge and understanding on Markets products

Ability to speak, write and read in Mandarin language as the role will be dealing with Settlement and trade confirmation and Post-Settlements Investigation covering China clients

Well-developed management skills coupled with organization and prioritization skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and well versed in computer to tools and applications particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
