PROJECT ACCOUNTANT - CEBU

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Analyze project financial performance, identifying variances and trends.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize project profitability and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Review and approve project-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements where possible.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Present financial results and analysis to management and project teams.
  • Manage project cash flows
  • Forecast cash requirements
  • Monitor and mitigate financial risks related to cash flow fluctuations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during project audits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, lease agreements, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain organized documentation and records to support audit trails.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address financial matters.
  • Provide financial insights and support decision-making processes related to project activities.
  • Communicate financial performance and key metrics to relevant parties effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or similar certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as an accountant in the real estate industry, with a focus on project accounting.
  • Proficiency in real estate accounting principles, including cost allocation, capitalization, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the real estate sector.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
