ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a remote Virtual Video Editor & Digital Marketing Specialist to execute on our content & social strategy, keep our business streamlined and organised, and provide exceptional customer service.

The core role duties include:

  • Video editing & Content Creation: Most of your week will involve editing short-form videos (e.g. reels, IG stories) and podcasts, building out Instagram stories, writing captions, and scheduling, posting, and repurposing content across multiple channels.
    • An example workflow would be editing a podcast episode, selecting the most powerful parts to create a reel for Instagram, creating 2-4 Instagram stories to promote the episode, scheduling the episode and weekly promo email, responding to all the comments and DMs about the episode and sharing any positive feedback we receive to stories
  • Perfect spelling and grammar, strong attention to detail, and an eye for aesthetics is especially important for this part of the role
  • Community Management & Customer Service: You will ensure everyone has an amazing experience when interacting with Badass Careers, responding to a high volume of comments and messages across our busy social channels and email inbox.
  • Research, analytics, SEO: You will support our marketing strategy with market research, keyword research, data collection, performance analysis and more - as time goes on, we would love to have you making recommendations and offering ideas based on the numbers.
  • Ongoing project administration and continuous improvement: Working on various initiatives to help our business run smoothly, stay organised, and improve the client experience. These will build your skills in content design, course builds, email marketing, PR, and more.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A goal-getter with expertise in social media, graphic design, copywriting, video editing (short form or long form), or any other aspect ofonline business, course or content creation.
  • An exceptional communicator. You will love finding the right words (with the right tone) when chatting to people. You'll need to be able to tap into being empathetic, funny, or whatever the situation requires, quickly and naturally. You will be publicly responding on a professional Instagram account with almost 200K followers so if you struggle knowing the difference between there / their / they're then this role won't be the right fit - we don't do micromanagement and will need to trust 110% that you have an eagle eye for spelling and grammar.
  • Incredibly organized with their work and time. Comfortable navigating Google Sheets, enjoy color coding and using bookmarks to make documents user-friendly and enjoyable to engage with. You must be organized, streamlined, enjoying planning in advance, and have no issue wrangling multiple priorities at once. You love creating, improving, and following processes.
  • Resourceful and can think on their feet. We work in an ever-evolving landscape - you need to be comfortable problem solving & troubleshooting when you don't have the answers.
  • Incredibly reliable. We're a fully remote team, and put a huge level of trust in our team to get their work done autonomously. Open communication, transparency, and integrity are must-haves for this role.

We can train people on our tools and systems but will prioritize applicants who have experience with:

  • CapCut / iMovie / Premiere Pro (video editing)
  • Riverside & podcasting
  • Canva
  • Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Calendar)
  • Instagram / YouTube / Kajabi backend
  • Slack / ClickUp
