He/She oversees the management and maintenance of the organization's fixed assets, ensuring accurate records and compliance with policies and regulations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains an updated inventory of fixed assets, including property, equipment, and machinery.

Conducts regular inspections to assess the condition and depreciation of fixed assets.

Collaborates with departments to determine asset needs and acquisitions.

Evaluates asset usage and recommends disposal or replacement when necessary.

Develops and implements asset management policies and procedures.

Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitors asset lifecycle costs and budgets for asset-related expenses.

Supervises asset tracking and verification processes.

Provides reports and analysis on asset performance and utilization.

Leads efforts to optimize asset utilization and minimize costs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, fixed asset accounting, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and auditing fixed asset records and inventory.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to fixed assets.
  • Proficiency in using asset management software and tools for inventory tracking.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate asset performance and lifecycle costs.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of conducting thorough inspections and audits.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with departments and present asset-related reports.
  • Ability to develop and implement asset management policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions regarding asset disposal or replacement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership in asset optimization initiatives.
  • Ethical conduct and integrity in handling asset-related transactions and compliance matters.
