We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our organization by accurately estimating the costs associated with construction projects. You will use your expertise to analyze project plans, gather necessary information, and prepare detailed cost estimates to ensure projects are completed within budget. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the estimation process for construction projects, including analyzing project plans and specifications, conducting material take-offs, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Review project documents and identify potential risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and other team members.
  • Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and presentations with clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitiveness in bids.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the estimation process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., Registered Civil Engineer) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of successfully bidding and winning projects.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift , Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading a team or managing projects.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
