Job summary

Manage and monitor the end-to-end Supply Chain functions (inbound, outbound, and transport) to support Business Unit growth of HEC, through operational efficiencies and service standards.

Business metrics

Essential responsibilities

General responsibilities

  • Manage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable
  • Manage implementation of country or Business Unit specific supply chain management initiatives to support client and customer solutions
  • Lead in the translation of the demand plan Into a supply plan for monthly ordering and long range purchase plan within the Integrated Business Planning framework.
  • Collaborate in the forecast review and alignment meeting with Sales and Commercial team to capture market intelligence such as new launches, promotions, product transitions, route to market, distribution plans to build the total demand plan.
  • Early engagement with Commercial and Clients for appropriate supply chain parameters such as MOQ, lead time, order frequencies, freshness policies that will be inputted into the Client contracts
  • Manage and conduct the periodic Supply chain performance review with DKSH Clients including purchase plan reports, inventory reports, and other SCM KPIs.
  • Manage Third Party Logistics providers that will be contracted for warehousing and transport through Service Level Agreements and Business Reviews.
  • Manage and develop 3 PL, transport providers, and other value adding services providers to ensure compliance to quality, procedure compliance, and to optimize logistics costs by consolidations.
  • Manage inventory ageing policies and returns programs to minimize NTE and expiration across all value streams from raw materials, company stock, regional branches, vendors, and even up to customer locations (given allowed visibility).
  • Set up I nventory accuracy programs including Warehouse Management Systems that are based transactions, whenever required to be interfaced with customer and with 3PL systems in collaboration with the IT group.
  • Manage the documentation flow of orders, services, and deliveries PODs, and other financial documents to ensure on-time and complete payment to DKSH and of payment of vendors, as well.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team (e.g. Sales, Client Management, RA, QA, Finance, etc.) to ensure seamless and effective supply chain operations to support client and customer solutions
  • Manage and investigate sources of supply to maximize efficiency and develop alternatives where necessary
  • Manage supply chain strategic initiatives/programs to optimize supply chain performance
  • Develop and consolidate supply chain reports and analyses to facilitate management decision-making
  • Build effective business relationships with clients, customers, government agencies and service providers
  • Maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Finance, Product Management, etc.)

  • Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of supply chain and DKSH behaviors to achieve team/function goals
  • Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Supply Chain Management and DKSH behaviors as part of continuous learning

Job requirements

Functional skills and knowledge

  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of end-to-end supply chain management
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of distribution centers, distribution and warehouses
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of WMS and the necessary interface to client's and 3PL's systems
  • Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills using statistical tools.
  • Proven experience in managing supply chains in a multinational and cross-border environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of supply chain best practices and standards
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions
  • Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken

Soft skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management , Engineering or related field

Work experience

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role in the HEALTHCARE environment
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a managerial capacity
