G2 Ocean is seeking a document analyst to join their team in Manila, Philippines.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Documentation Analyst will be responsible for providing close support to the Cargo Documentation, Customs Filing, and Reports/System Administration as per the agreed scope.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle Cargo Documentation such as Bill of Lading approval as per standard operating procedure and trade requirements.
  • Ensure that signed Bill of Ladings and Manifests are received within the required deadline.
  • Prepare Bill of Ladings in the system for the agreed trade that requires input to the system.
  • Ensure system data quality and accuracy as per KPI.
  • Prepare and submit necessary Customs and ENS manifest (container, Bill of Lading manifest, ships equipment) in accordance with applicable laws in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to the Report and System Management based on the agreed scope and responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The candidate:

  • must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in any Shipping / Customs related courses, or Business Management at the minimum.
  • should have a good background in handling Bill of Ladings or have Customs-related training.
  • should have at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • should have advanced knowledge in MS Office such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft World.
  • should have data analysis experience.
  • should have good technical writing skills.
  • should have experience working within a diverse functional team.
  • need to have a good level of logical, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • should have knowledge of Business process strategies, particularly Time Management.
  • must be aware of the commercial implications of Cargo Documentation, claims, and customs-related fines.
  • must have good communication and collaboration skills.
  • must have good time management skills and be able to assess tasks for prioritization.
  • should be open to flexible working hours to meet deadlines and urgent requests even on weekends.
  • should pay close attention to details.
  • should be focus-oriented.
  • should be able to work individually while at the same time being a good team player.
