Job Purpose
Middle Office specialist works with team members on a rotational basis in order to support internal and
external clients. Clients include portfolio managers, traders, and internal and external accounting
groups.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide post execution trade support to our front office and portfolio managers on both fixed
income and equity portfolios.

  • Provide cash and accounting support on all Voya internal portfolios.
  • Provide day to day oversight of our outsourcing vendor Bank of New York Mellon (BNYM).
Including but not limited to reconciliations and ad hoc requests.

  • 9:00 to 18:00 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and Eastern Standard Time (EST)
o Extended hours required on heavy trading days.

  • New York Stock Exchange Holidays observed.
o Coverage may be required on some holidays.
Knowledge & Experience - Fixed Income & Equities

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 5+ years experience in securities operations/accounting or related field
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
and other PC based software

  • Knowledge of both domestic and international security markets, including but not limited to
cashflow lifecycle, settlements, and corporate actions.

  • Knowledge of Forex and international monetary settlements
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications and online vendor services
  • Good analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent organizational skills for tasks, work environment and documentation
  • Ability to independently prioritize projects and work in a fast paced, multi-task environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must have ability to work within a team
environment.
Knowledge & Experience - Derivatives

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 5+ years experience in securities operations/accounting or related field
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
and other PC based software

  • Knowledge of Forex and international monetary settlements
