Customer Service Assistant

- Responsible for inquiring standard and special rates/charges from overseas agents, carriers,brokers, truckers and consolidators.
- Prepares and sends out proposals to clients within parameters and organizes the adequate follow-up.
- Shipment coordination/booking with clients, overseas agents, coloaders/carriers, brokers. Ensures that proper endorsement and shipment coordination is done with the operations department.
- Ensures adequate action and reports on complaint of customers.
- Secures all necessary information and documents from customers to assess credit worthiness.
- Prepares SOP/SI/BSI for assigned accounts.
- Assures customer relations in absence and non-availability of account executives and customer service team.
- Proper maintenance and filing of client records.
- Telesales for moving and non-moving accounts.
- Generates and sends out qualified sales leads.
- Join meetings/sales visits to clients if needed for assigned accounts.
- Assist in the Accounts Receivable follow-ups and collections for assigned accounts.
- Attends to trainings required.
- Ensures timeliness of sending out daily reports and replies to messages from various messaging apps.
- May be required to attend to shipping lines/consolidators meetings/visits.
- Prepares and send Letter of Indemnity to shipping lines for waiver of container deposit (quarterly, semi-annually and annually).
- Updates and maintains destination charges of shipping lines.
- Responsible with updating and maintenance of co-loaders tariff for LCL import.
- In charge of client on boarding for assigned new accounts.
- Joins AP/AR weekly meeting to address billing and collections concerns.
- Coordinates collection to clients and sending of SOA as assigned from time to time.
- Serves as back-up for the preparation of various Customer Service Reports.
- Be able to assist the customer service department on job-related duties as assigned by the Sales/Customer Service team.
