Kai Mall is a six-story commercial shopping mall that stands as a beacon of indulgence and excitement in the vibrant North Caloocan City. Situated on a remarkable 1.1-hectare lot, with nearly 60,000 square meters of total floor area, Kai Mall offers an extraordinary experience for visitors. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our expansive parking facility, which provides over 260 car slots and 500 motorcycles slot for our customers' convenience. Located at the bustling intersection of Zabarte and Camarin Roads, Kai Mall is strategically positioned to attract a diverse audience of approximately 1.6 million patrons residing within a 5-kilometer radius. Position Title: 

Kitchen Supervisor

 

Job Summary:

To effectively oversee kitchen operations, ensure the timely preparation and delivery of high-quality food items, and provide leadership and support to kitchen staff, contributing to the overall success of the outlet.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Kitchen Operations Management

Coordinate food preparation activities, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standardsMonitor kitchen workflow to optimize efficiency, minimize wait times, and meet service demandsSupervise food storage, handling, and rotation practices to maintain freshness and prevent wastage.

2. Team Leadership and Development

Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to achieve performance targets.Conduct training sessions to enhance culinary skills, food safety knowledge, and teamwork among kitchen team membersFoster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and mutual respect

3. Quality Assurance

Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with hygiene standardsMonitor food presentation and taste, addressing any discrepancies promptly to maintain consistency and qualityImplement corrective actions and improvement initiatives to enhance food quality and customer satisfaction

4. Administrative Tasks

Assist in inventory management activities, including stock replenishment, stocktaking, and inventory control proceduresMaintain accurate records of food inventory levels, usage, and wastage, and report any discrepancies to the Kitchen ManagerCollaborate with the Kitchen Manager to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen operations

1. Kitchen Efficiency Metrics

Kitchen productivity measures such as ticket times and order accuracyPercentage of on-time food delivery and completion of kitchen tasksKitchen staff utilization rates and resource allocation effectiveness

2. Food Quality and Safety

Compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standardsGuest satisfaction scores related to food quality, taste, and presentationNumber of food safety incidents and corrective actions implemented

3. Staff Performance and Development

Employee engagement and satisfaction survey resultsTraining completion rates and skills improvement assessmentsStaff turnover rates and retention efforts effectiveness

4. Operational Effectiveness

Cost control measures and kitchen-related expenses variance analysisInventory turnover rates and wastage reduction initiativesAdherence to kitchen SOPs and operational compliance standards
