JOB PURPOSE:

The Clerical Team Member/Admin Assistant plays a crucial role in the management of medical records for various electronic health record (EHR) systems, including Cerner, Meditech, MPF, HPF, and Epic. The primary purpose of this position is to efficiently download and process medical records, manage large files, and assist nursing staff in record-related tasks. The ultimate goal is to support the automation of data extraction processes, enhancing the efficiency of appeal creation for appeals nurses.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clerical Team duties include but are not limited to:

Download Medical Records: Retrieve medical records from various EHR systems (Cerner, Meditech, MPF, HPF, Epic) as per requests and departmental requirements.File Management: Split large medical record files into manageable sizes for easier handling and processing.Assistance to Nurses: Provide support to appeal nurses by downloading records as needed and troubleshooting any issues related to record access or file formats.Data Upload: Upload processed records onto the automation bot system to facilitate data extraction and streamline appeal creation processes.CANDIDATE REQUIRED SKILLS & CREDENTIALS:Education: High school diploma or college undergraduate.Experience: Clerical or administrative experience, preferably in healthcare with a focus on medical records or data management.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with data management software; experience with file splitting tools and techniques.Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for assisting nurses and collaborating with team members.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to file access, record downloads, and system operations.Confidentiality: Strong understanding of and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.Attention to Detail: High level of precision and focus on task quality.Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks, adapt to changing environments, and remain organized amidst interruptions.Independence: Capability to make decisions independently while adhering to company and account-specific procedures.Feedback: Comfort with receiving and acting on constructive feedback.
