The position is responsible for:

Allocated Marine portfolio of vessels – All crews are to be recruited, available and deployed to operate the vessels under OSM AustraliaEnsure ongoing coordination of crew travel arrangements, ensuring qualifications, medicals, and manning requirements are met, and to abide by Marine Orders and AMSA requirementsOngoing maintenance of Crew Certificates and other requirements in eCrew2 according to the Competence Matrix

Key Responsibilities and role(s)

End-to-end recruitment and recommendation of new crew to Crewing Coordinator. Prepare recruitment paperwork. Send contracts and JD’s to candidates and crew as requiredGenerating MLC Agreements for on-signing crew & uploading signed copies into eCrew before they join the vesselDaily check of vessel roster for crew changes, ensuring the rosters are updated as per crew movements in conjunction with the Crewing CoordinatorPrepare crew movement checklist for each swing ensuring compliance checks are completed in advance of crew change for returning employeesCoordination and booking of flights and accommodation for allocated portfolio of vessels as per client requirements/requestsLiaising with Crewing Coordinator on training requirements for employees during their planned leavePrepare payroll of fortnightly crew for submission to the Crewing CoordinatorUnderstanding and interpretation of all OSM Australia’s EBA’s in conjunction with the Crewing CoordinatorOngoing maintenance of employee details and certification in eCrew2Maintenance of training matrixCompiling crew certification for Visa applications, Flag State Endorsement applicationsEnsure that pre-joining requirements process is met and the registration in eCrew of all required and relevant documents for each individual crew member and ship list is completed before joining the vessel.Ensure that the Manning scale and the vessel registry is up to date in EcrewPerform other functions as delegated by the Immediate Superior.Requirement for on call roster – 1 week per monthEstablishment and management of seafarer pool which can be drawn from to man managed vessels, support other operations and new start up projects etc.

Required Qualifications

At least a graduate of any bachelor’s degreeExcellent communication skills (both in oral and in writing)Leadership skillsProficient in STCW CertificatesProficient in the use of the Office Productivity Tools

Required Experience

Preferably with 3 years of relevant experience with Crewing Support ServicesProficient in the use of Crew Management System
