 Data Scientist

Pioneer Square Brands has a global footprint with office locations in High Point NC, and Manila, Philippines.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for analyzing the business, documenting the organizational processes, and evaluating the business modelsResearch best practices and support developing solutions and recommendations using business analysisPerform routine business analysis using various techniques, e.g., statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and data mining from internal and external sources to answer the industry and business questionsInterpret business needs of customers and translate them into the application and operational requirement with the help of strong analytical and product management/knowledge skillsMay assist in developing or implementing systems to capture business operationEmploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods to prepare data for use in predictive and prescriptive modelingProduce written and oral documentation/presentation to support the data analysis and report on findings to present to the higher management, if necessaryDevelop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are metIdentify and recommend new ways to create value and develop action plans to measure their impactCreate new processes, optimize, and standardize existing onesOther tasks that may be assigned

 

Job Requirements:

Ability to code, specifically with either Python or SQL is requiredKnowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacksKnowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applicationsProficient in MS Excel including pivot tables, lockups, macros and knowledge of MS Office, MS Access, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPointLogical, analytical, critical thinker, and capable of maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive informationExcellent command of the English Language is a must, both written and verbalDetail-oriented and self-directedGood organization skills, including the ability to prioritize workGood personal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to adapt to changing businessMust have a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality, and great attendanceExperience with CRM software (NetSuite) is a plusCan work in high pressure environment with high sense of responsibilityA drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
