STRATEGIC COST & PROCESS PRODUCTIVITY ASSISTANT MANAGER

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify and consolidate Process Problems/Issues, as well as Opportunities for Process Improvement and Innovation (“Opportunities”), with gaining greater resource efficiencies and cost understanding /savings as primary objectives

2. Understand, explore, represent and prioritize Opportunities

3. Conceptualize, evaluate, represent and prioritize Process Improvements & Innovations (“Solutions Roadmap”). Must understand, influence and design business processes multi-dimensionally:

· Horizontal: across multiple functional divisions,

· Vertical: integration points and dependencies with other business processes,

· In-Depth: related process transactions, tangible outputs, operational decisions & decision support, resource deployment and utilization (materials, manpower, time/ effort/ FTEs, monies), performance management metrics and standards, strategic decisions & decision support, governance

4. Conceptualize/develop, evaluate, represent, prioritize and champion Solution implementations addressing Process, Data, Systems, People/Change Management and Risk Management, Project Management aspects of implementation

5. Ensure Opportunities, Solutions and Implementation plans (“Implementations”) are complete, feasible, value-generating, affordable, practical and internally integrated

6. Champion Implementations although, responsibilities for their execution are appropriately owned by the relevant Divisions/Business Process Owners (“End-Users”)

7. Proactively scan and digest relevant external developments, advances and other inputs; where appropriate, inform the Opportunities, Solutions, Roadmaps and Implementations with these observations

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Academic: Bachelor of Science and Graduate School (or equivalent in work experience and post-college training)

 

Required: Proven record of managing complex Business Processes, implementing Business Process Innovation, Improvement or Reengineering projects. Indicators may include academic degrees, or their equivalent in trainings/ certifications/ practical work experience, for Industrial Engineering or other Engineering specializations, Operations Research, Manufacturing Management, Logistics Management OR any of the proven process improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing

 

Preferred: Basic understanding of financial considerations, inputs and outcomes. Academic or practical training/ exposure to Business Management, Finance, General or Cost Accounting, Strategic Cost Management or Logistics; participated in Systems implementations, tech-savvy
