The Accounts Payable Associate I compile data for payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices for amounts owed by the company to vendors, employees, and other organizations/individuals. This includes determining proper GL account coding and assigning appropriate vendor codes.

 

Reviews invoices and employee expense reports for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment processing within Oracle AP system.Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and proceduresPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable dataReconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.Identify opportunities and help implement process improvements or automation.Maintain or exceed the company’s quality standards for all assigned tasks.Must be able to handle high levels of stress and be congenial to other customers, clients, employees alwaysPerforms other job assignments as specified by the team leader.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with  focus in Accounting or FinanceWilling to work in a Night Shift Schedule

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

Basic office equipment – will train, if necessary

COMPUTER SKILLS

Basic knowledge of Windows 95/98, WP and Spreadsheet packages
