ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST:

As an Accounts Payables Specialist, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian financial regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

The main duties and responsibilities will include the following:

Manage vendor relationships and handle inquiries Process and verify invoices and coding payment documents.Prepare payment batches and conduct electronic transfers and payments.Maintain historical records by filing documents.Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with finance policies and procedures.Assist with month-end closing procedures.Ensure compliance with GST and other Australian financial regulations.

To be successful in this role it is essential you have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.Proficient with accounting software and databases; experience with Xero is a plus.Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Strong understanding of the Australian financial landscape and regulatory requirements.Extensive knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including tax, superannuation, and employment laws/Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
