About the Role

The Sr. QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of web applications through comprehensive manual testing and Playwright-based end-to-end automation. This role identifies and documents defects, performs cross-browser and cross-device testing, automates critical user flows, and integrates tests into CI/CD pipelines. The QA Engineer collaborates closely with developers, designers, project managers, and clients to deliver reliable, high-quality releases while maintaining QA documentation and improving testing processes.

What You'll Do

• Test completed work on staging for defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues
• Log bugs in Jira with clear reproduction steps and evidence
• Flag related side issues, not just task-specific defects
• Cross-browser and cross-device testing
• Re-verify fixes before client delivery

• Build and maintain E2E test suites in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) — greenfield, built from scratch
• Automate regression tests for critical flows (booking, checkout, sign-in, forms)
• Integrate tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
• Smoke tests for production releases; visual regression over time

• Send QA'd tickets to clients for testing with clear steps
• Clarify requirements via Jira ticket comments where needed

• Work in Jira within bi-weekly sprints
• Keep test plans and QA documentation up to date
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and project manager

What You Bring

• At least 4 years QA experience with strong manual testing of web applications
• Hands-on Playwright E2E automation experience (or strong Cypress/Selenium)
• Proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript for test scripts
• CI/CD test integration experience (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Clear written English for client-facing testing instructions
• Self-directed — able to establish processes, not just follow them

• Experience with Booking / e-commerce / payment flow testing
• API testing (Postman or automated)
• Visual regression tools
• Mobile app testing (React Native)
• Accessibility testing
