Web Developer

We are looking for a motivated Web Developer to join our Web/Digital team. In this role, you will be responsible for web page publishing, QA testing, and WordPress development, ensuring high-quality content delivery across our global sites. You'll also support website maintenance, front-end updates, and collaboration with regional teams, while gaining exposure to localization workflows and translation file management.

Core Responsibilities

• Web page publishing: Create, update, and publish web pages and content in WordPress according to brand and regional guidelines.
• Quality assurance (QA): Test and validate web pages for accuracy, functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• WordPress maintenance & development: Update, debug, and maintain WordPress plugins and themes to ensure stability and performance.
• Front-end support: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot website features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Database interaction: Write and optimize queries in MySQL for content and site functionality.
• Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with regional contacts and internal stakeholders to support publishing workflows and digital initiatives.
• Excel reporting and support: Use formulas and queries in Excel for tracking, validation, or reporting related to web publishing tasks.
• Continuous learning: Stay updated with the latest trends in WordPress, localization, and web technologies.

Additional Responsibilities

• Translation/localization support: Assist with the handling of WordPress translation files (XLIFF/PO), coordinating with regional teams and translation vendors when needed.
• Participate in occasional localization QA to validate translated content and ensure proper integration.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of web software development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Hands-on experience with WordPress, including plugin maintenance and debugging.
• Strong understanding of PHP/PHP-FPM and MySQL.
• Familiarity with XLIFF & PO files is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel formulas and queries is a plus.
• Flexibility to work on a shifting schedule or night shift if required by the role.

Nice To Have Skills

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Basic understanding of web performance optimization.
• Familiarity with translation/localization platforms.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
