THIS ROLE

The Cloud Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security of cloud-based systems, applications, and data. This role involves implementing security best practices, monitoring for threats, and collaborating with IT and security teams to safeguard cloud environments. The specialist will work closely with architects, engineers, and analysts to ensure compliance with security frameworks and industry standards. Candidate should have strong understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies and especially the one related to Information Security.

WHAT YOU WILL DO  

• You design and implement security controls across cloud environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. You leverage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, including Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), to protect infrastructure, applications, and data.
• You monitor cloud environments for security threats, investigate alerts, and coordinate incident response efforts. You utilize Microsoft XDR, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for Identity to ensure timely detection and resolution of incidents.
• You enforce strong identity and access management policies across cloud platforms. You apply Conditional Access strategies, manage identities through Entra ID, and integrate Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
• You assess cloud environments for vulnerabilities and model potential threats. You use Microsoft Defender for Vulnerability Management to identify risks and collaborate with teams to implement effective mitigations. You stay informed on emerging attack techniques and apply threat intelligence to strengthen defenses.
• You collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate DevSecOps and Zero Trust principles into the application lifecycle, ensuring security is embedded from development through deployment.
• You implement data protection strategies, including encryption and classification, using Microsoft Purview to safeguard sensitive information across cloud platforms.
• You ensure cloud security practices align with industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and DORA. You support compliance initiatives and contribute to governance programs.
• You provide training and guidance to technical and non-technical teams, promoting secure cloud practices and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.

ABOUT YOU  

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years in cloud security, security operations, or related roles.

• Proven experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on Azure.
• Deep knowledge of Azure security services (Azure AD, Defender for Cloud, Entra, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (CIS, CSA CCM, NIST, etc.).

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, network security, IAM, and security tools like CSPM and SIEM.

Certifications (not mandatory): SC-200, SC-900, AZ-500 or any relevant certification
