Job Summary

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Portfolio Officer to support our Institutional Banking Segment (IBS). This role is key to managing credit portfolios, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. If you're passionate about credit strategy, financial analysis, and portfolio oversight—this is your opportunity to shine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assess credit proposals for IBS accounts, including renewals, aligned with internal policies and SLAs
  • Coordinate with IBS counterparts to ensure timely submission of pre-approval documents and active portfolio management
  • Validate financial data and documents submitted by Lending Officers
  • Evaluate collateral, policy deviations, and documentation gaps; propose mitigants
  • Identify policy and regulatory exceptions and integrate them into balanced credit assessments
  • Conduct financial analysis and spreadsheet modeling for new and existing clients
  • Review ERCA reports for new credit facility recommendations
  • Determine and review credit risk ratings and classifications, ensuring alignment with borrower profiles and market conditions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Management, Math, Statistics, Financial Management, or Economics
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit, with emphasis on commercial or corporate loans
  • Proficient in credit risk analysis, financial modeling, and spreadsheet analysis
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines

  • Experienced Credit Analysts or Portfolio Managers in the commercial or corporate space
  • Relationship Managers transitioning into credit roles
  • CPAs from top accounting firms
  • Credit Officers with exposure to both commercial and consumer loans
