Intercompany Accountant

Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of intercompany (IC) transactions. The position requires ongoing analysis of financial data, communication with multiple business units, and maintaining strong documentation and controls around intercompany agreements and charges.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Completeness and Accuracy of Intercompany Charges
  
  Review intercompany activity regularly to verify that charges are complete, properly coded, and consistent with approved agreements. Investigate unexplained or unfamiliar transactions and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Business Units on Agreement Status
  
  Communicate with departments responsible for intercompany agreements to stay informed about changes, new agreements, renewals, and terminations. Ensure that all updates are accurately reflected in internal tracking files.
• Analyze Variances and Communicate Findings
  
  Perform monthly variance analysis, identify material differences, and discuss findings with related parties to ensure proper understanding, corrections, or adjustments.
• Support Month-End Close and Reporting
  
  Prepare and provide month-over-month intercompany variance analysis for management review.
• Perform Year-End Analysis and Budget Comparisons
  
  Conduct year-over-year and actual-versus-budget analyses at year-end, summarizing key drivers and trends in intercompany activity for management.
• Record Accruals for Missing Activity
  
  Identify missing invoices or unrecorded intercompany charges and prepare required accrual journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Communicate with Finance and AP Teams on Payments, Refunds and Credits
  
  Coordinate with internal teams and related parties regarding the status of payments, refunds and credits. Respond to inquiries and ensure proper follow-up.
• Support Audit and Internal Control Requirements
  
  Maintain documentation of reviews and communications to support internal controls and provide a clear audit trail for both internal and external auditors.
• Assist with other accounting and finance activities as required

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• With at least 3-4 years of Intercompany Accounting experience. Experience in General Accounting is an advantage.
• Familiarity in intercompany transactions in EMEA, North America and APAC market.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications. Knowledge in SAP is an advantage.
• Well organized, thorough and detailed, with a creative approach to problem solving.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Have flexibility in time shift as the business requires.

Work Location & Schedule

• Amenable working on a dayshift schedule. (Might require flexibility in time shift for trainings.)
• Our office is located at Ayala North Exchange, Makati.
