The Tourism Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an engaging and effective educational program in the field of tourism and hospitality. This role involves teaching a variety of subjects related to the travel industry, mentoring students, developing curriculum, and ensuring graduates are prepared for successful careers in tourism, travel agencies, tour operations, hotel management, and other related sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lectures, practical sessions, workshops, and tutorials across various tourism-related courses (e.g., Tour Guiding, Destination Management, Travel Agency Operations, Cultural Heritage Tourism, Sustainable Tourism).
  • Design, revise, and update curriculum materials, lesson plans, and teaching methodologies to align with industry standards, current trends, and accreditation requirements.
  • Incorporate practical, real-world examples and case studies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Stay current with developments in the local and global tourism industry to ensure course content is relevant.
  • Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, practical demonstrations, and projects, providing constructive and timely feedback.
  • Advise and mentor students on academic progress, career paths, and professional development opportunities in the tourism sector.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, adhering to institutional policies.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development seminars, and institutional committees.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, or a closely related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Travel and Tour Operations, or a closely related field. A Master's Degree is often preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in the tourism, travel, or hospitality industry.
  • Prior teaching or training experience in a post-secondary or vocational setting is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php16, Php20,000.00 per month
