Job Summary

We are seeking a technically well-rounded Systems Administrator & Team Lead with strong mid-level proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments, foundational cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and solid team leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in systems administration, cloud operations, database management, and automation—paired with the interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to guide junior staff and drive technical initiatives forward.

This role is suited for a hands-on professional who demonstrates both technical competence and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset. You'll be expected to support and improve infrastructure, mentor team members, and contribute to a high-performance IT operations culture.

Core Responsibilities

I. Technical Expertise

Windows Server Administration

  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2016, 2019,
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and server hardening practices.
  • Apply security patches and updates based on best practices.

Linux Server Administration

  • Maintain and administer Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
  • Use command-line tools and shell scripting (e.g., Bash) for system tasks.
  • Configure file systems, networking, and user access.

Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Deploy and manage key cloud infrastructure components (e.g., EC2, VMs, S3, Blob Storage, VPCs).
  • Automate infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Implement cloud security practices, IAM roles, and monitoring (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage and cost.

MS SQL Database Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server instances.
  • Tune performance through query optimization and indexing.
  • Manage backup, restore, and high availability (e.g., Always On, replication).
  • Enforce database security and access controls.

Scripting & Automation

  • Automate tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
  • Develop scripts to support repeatable and efficient system operations.

II. Leadership & Team Contribution

  • Mentor and support junior team members through technical guidance and hands-on coaching.
  • Delegate responsibilities based on team strengths, capacity, and development goals.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide constructive feedback and foster a respectful, collaborative team environment.
  • Take ownership of incidents, issues, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Promote accountability, transparency, and a solution-focused mindset.

Job Specifications

  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Hands-on experience managing MS SQL Server databases.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor team members.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Relevant cloud certifications.
  • Exposure to IT governance, compliance, or security frameworks.
