Job Description

Responsible for the operation of the vessel in a safe and effective manner; for the safety training and welfare of all personnel onboard; for the maintenance of the vessel as per Company's standards. Ensures that all Deck personnel are properly familiarized for their specific duties. Assist the Master in the training of junior officer and cadets. Ensures thatall personnel under his jurisdiction are adequately trained in the operation and maintenance of equipment used in the course of their duties. Implements the Ballast Water Management Plan. Monitors the implementation of the Garbage Management Plan onboard and guides the identified responsible person as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

Atleast 12 months as Chief Officer on Bulk Vessels.

Documents are on hand and valid atleast 18 months.
