This is a remote position.

Job Highlights

Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Limassol, Cyprus Time with 1 hour unpaid break

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable.
  • Perform daily bookkeeping and monthly account reconciliations (bank, debtor, creditor).
  • Prepare VAT reports and ensure regulatory compliance (training will be provided if needed).
  • Generate financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Communicate with clients to gather financial data and clarify accounting-related queries.
  • Ensure accurate tax documentation and assist with tax compliance checks.
  • Conduct audits for a variety of local and international clients.
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Draft management accounts and highlight insights for business improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute audit processes efficiently.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Present audit findings and recommendations in a clear, client-friendly manner.
  • Stay current with changes in IFRS, tax laws, and audit regulations.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting, auditing, or both, preferably in a multi-client environment.
  • Has an expertise in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and basic tax compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage deadlines independently and work collaboratively in a team.
  • CPA, ACCA, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with audit methodologies and tools is a plus.
  • A mindset geared toward continuous learning and professional development.
