Job Summary:
Nono's is seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Lead / Head Chef to oversee back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate will lead the kitchen team, ensure quality and consistency of all menu items, and maintain high standards for food safety and hygiene. This role requires strong leadership, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the kitchen staff
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to Nono's standards
- Monitor inventory, control food and labor costs, and reduce waste
- Maintain sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to plan menus, specials, and kitchen schedules
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen team members
Qualifications:
- At least 1–3 years of experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Lead, or Supervisor in F&B or back-of-house operations
- For those without supervisory experience, must have NC II or graduate of Culinary Arts or related course
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, equipment, and culinary techniques
- Able to work efficiently under pressure and maintain team morale
