Role Purpose
- Provide a full range of bookkeeping services to New Zealand SMEs.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing and Accounts Receivable
- Create client customer invoices
- Send invoice reminders and statements
- Follow up on overdue accounts and provide client action reports
- Accounts Payable
- Capture supplier invoices using data capture software
- Reconcile supplier invoices against statements
- Prepare supplier batch payments
- Banking Activities
- Code bank account and credit card statements from bank feeds
- Receipt and reconcile debtor payments
- Reconcile petty cash
- Payroll Processing
- Calculate and process employee wages and payments
- Prepare PAYE returns
- Process expense claims
- Compliance, Reporting & Clerical Duties
- Prepare New Zealand GST returns and other compliance reports
- Electronically file invoices and source documents
- Complete monthly adjustments and journals
- Manage fixed asset registers
- Update client procedure manuals as required
- Handle client and supplier emails and resolve queries
- Record time spent on client tasks
- ISO Compliance
- Adhere to ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance-related courses
- Xero-certified and/or DEXT or Hubdoc certified
- Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably with SMEs and ANZ markets
- Excellent written and oral English communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong time management skills
- Work Setup: Fully remote until Q2 of 2026; then will become hybrid setup in Q x onsite/week in Clark, Pampanga)
