In this position you will join our Buildings business and play an integral part in a team of specialists who ‘bring ideas to life’ for clients across all project types. Here are the key responsibilities: Lead building‑services electrical engineering projects from initial scoping through detailed design, commissioning, and handover, preparing technical specifications, reports, and estimates. Prepare tenders and negotiate with clients to achieve commercially profitable objectives. Engage directly with clients and colleagues to deliver successful outcomes and support work‑winning and market development. Provide expert advice on engineering projects, including feasibility studies, design reviews, and troubleshooting. Develop and analyze electrical designs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to deliver projects on time and within budget. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project team members to deliver successful projects. Mentor junior electrical engineers and oversee the technical aspects of projects. Consult with clients drawing on professional expertise and deep knowledge of Aurecon’s consultancy services. What can you bring to the team? You should also possess the following: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with 8–10 years of building‑services experience, including 2–3 years in data‑centre design. Strong background in building‑electrical design within a consulting environment. Interest in innovative, energy‑efficient, and sustainable projects. Project leadership and management experience with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Pro‑active, independent, or collaborative work style with good communication skills and business acumen. Excellent English written and verbal communication; proven business development and account‑management skills. High computer literacy and exposure to BIM/Revit; advanced problem‑solving skills through investigation and analysis. Proficiency in digital tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, BIM360, and BIM processes. Strong capability in navigating 3D BIM models to review multidisciplinary design, identify issues, provide solutions, and delegate tasks. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior.
