Position Overview

The Utility Man is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall upkeep of the resort and restaurant facilities. This role provides essential support to daily operations by performing cleaning duties, minor repairs, groundskeeping, and assisting in errands to maintain a safe, organized, and pleasant environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Cleaning & Sanitation

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in all assigned areas.
  • Dust surfaces, wipe tables and counters, clean windows and glass panels.
  • Sanitize comfort rooms, staff areas, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Ensure all areas meet resort/restaurant hygiene and cleanliness standards.

2. Waste Management

  • Collect, segregate, and properly dispose of trash from all departments.
  • Ensure garbage bins are clean, sanitized, and replaced with liners daily.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning and sanitation supplies.

3. Basic Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, fixing simple equipment issues, and tightening fixtures.
  • Assist in basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical troubleshooting as needed.
  • Report major issues to the Maintenance Supervisor immediately.

4. Groundskeeping

  • Maintain exterior areas including walkways, gardens, and parking spaces.
  • Mow grass, trim plants, pull weeds, and remove debris to keep the surroundings clean and presentable.
  • Assist in setting up outdoor areas for events or activities.

5. Operational Support & Errands

  • Run errands for supplies, documents, and other operational needs.
  • Assist with moving equipment, furniture, or deliveries.
  • Support admin tasks such as bundling records or organizing storage areas.

6. Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct routine safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies such as spills, hazards, or urgent repair needs.
  • Follow company safety protocols and report incidents to supervisors.

7. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain logs of completed cleaning tasks, repairs, and inspections.
  • Submit work reports, tool usage, and inventory updates as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • At least High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in utility, housekeeping, or maintenance work preferred (resort/restaurant experience is a plus).
  • Physically fit and able to Stand or walk for long hours, Lift heavy items and Work under various weather conditions
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard instructions.
  • Versatile and adaptable to perform a wide range of tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning materials and tools.
  • Trustworthy, responsible, and with good work attitude.
  • Can start ASAP
  • Work location: Cabuyao, Laguna
  • Work Schedule: sunday to wednesday 2pm-11pm
