I. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, home exercises, and adaptive strategies.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
  • Regularly review and update treatment goals based on patient progress and feedback.
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment plans.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster patient motivation and engagement.
  • Use therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices to promote recovery.

  • Identify functional limitations and develop appropriate goals and treatment plans.

  • Performs other relevant duties as may be assigned.
