I. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  2. Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
  3. Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, home exercises, and adaptive strategies.
  4. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  5. Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with hospital policies.
  6. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental policies and procedures.
  7. Stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
  8. Regularly review and update treatment goals based on patient progress and feedback.
  9. Participate in case reviews and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment plans.
  10. Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster patient motivation and engagement.
  11. Use therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices to promote recovery.
  12. Identify functional limitations and develop appropriate goals and treatment plans.

13.   Performs other relevant duties as may be assigned.
