We are looking for a dedicated Company Nurse to oversee the health and wellness of our employees. The Company Nurse will be responsible for providing first aid, managing workplace injuries, conducting health screenings, and promoting wellness initiatives to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with Philippine regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First Aid and Medical Care: Provide immediate first aid and medical care to employees in case of illness or injury during working hours.
  • Injury and Illness Management: Assess and manage workplace injuries, ensure proper treatment, and document incidents. Coordinate with external healthcare providers for specialized treatment, if necessary.
  • Health Screenings: Conduct regular health assessments, including pre-employment physicals, annual medical check-ups, and other health screenings in compliance with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) guidelines.
  • Wellness Programs: Promote and implement employee wellness initiatives such as vaccination drives, health awareness campaigns, and stress management programs.
  • Workplace Health Education: Educate employees on health topics like proper ergonomics, disease prevention, hygiene practices, and mental health awareness.
  • Medical Records Management: Maintain confidential and up-to-date medical records for all employees, ensuring compliance with the Data Privacy Act and other regulations.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the company follows DOLE's Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), including monitoring workplace health hazards and recommending improvements.
  • Emergency Response: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of workplace emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and other safety protocols.
  • Collaboration with HR: Work with HR to monitor sick leaves, medical leave, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit health and safety reports to management, detailing trends in employee health, accidents, and wellness program effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Nursing degree (RN) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health or a corporate setting.

  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of first aid, emergency procedures, and workplace health protocols.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees.
  • Ability to handle confidential medical information and comply with privacy laws.
  • Knowledge of Philippine health and safety regulations (DOLE OSHS).

  • Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification (required).

  • Additional certifications in Occupational Health or Safety (preferred but not required).
