Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and Inspecting Shipments:Unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, and record them accurately.
  • Inventory Management:Organize, label, and store products in designated areas, perform cycle counts, and update inventory records using warehouse management systems.
  • Order Fulfillment:Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer or internal orders for shipment, ensuring products are handled carefully and efficiently.
  • Shipping and Loading:Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or other transport, ensuring all packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
  • Equipment Operation:Safely operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move and store goods.
  • Warehouse Maintenance:Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory movements, and any discrepancies found.
  • Teamwork and Safety:Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily production goals and follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Physical Demands

  • Physical Stamina:The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and carry heavy items, sometimes weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Attention to Detail:Crucial for accurately receiving, tracking, and packing orders, as well as identifying damaged goods or inventory discrepancies.
  • Equipment Operation:Ability to learn and safely operate various types of warehouse machinery.
  • Teamwork:Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other warehouse staff and contribute to team goals.
  • Safety Awareness:A commitment to following safety procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a secure workplace.
