We are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Manager to join our client's dynamic team

Job Highlights

  • Set-up: Work from home
  • Schedule: 7:00am to 4:00 pm/6:00 am to 4:00 pm AEDT/AEST (Monday-Friday)
  • Independent Contractor arrangement
  • Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor", the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will also be accountable for handling their taxes and benefits independently. The salary is calculated and offered on an hourly basis.

Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Virtual Assistant to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, invoicing, and general financial administration. This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

1. Bookkeeping & Financial Management

Maintain accurate financial records, including income and expense tracking.

Categorize and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.

Prepare financial statements and reports.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting.

2. Invoice & Payroll Processing

Generate and send invoices to clients.

Follow up on outstanding payments and track accounts receivable.

Process payroll and manage employee expense reimbursements.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Monitor and process vendor payments.

Track client payments and update financial records.

Assist in financial audits and compliance reporting.

4. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.

Assist in tax preparation and compliance.

5. Administrative & Support Tasks

Manage financial documentation and maintain digital records.

Assist in creating financial policies and procedures.

Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects

Requirements:

What Skills / talents / abilities / qualifications are requirements for hiring?

Proven experience as a Finance Virtual Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, or similar).

Experience with invoicing, payroll processing, and financial reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

What Skills / talents / abilities / qualifications are helpful / nice to have for hiring?

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience working with Australian clients.

Familiarity with financial compliance and tax regulations.

Knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting tools.
