Role Overview: Sr. Data Scientist
As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will lead the development and implementation of advanced data science solutions to address complex business challenges. You will be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge techniques in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining to extract insights from large datasets and drive data-driven decision-making across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, proven leadership abilities, and a track record of delivering impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative data science solutions to solve complex business problems.
• Use state-of-the-art MLOps practices to help evaluate different models, manage them and deploy them to production.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, and translate them into data science solutions that drive value.
• Contribute to proposals, presales and renewal activities
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Lead and facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather requirements, communicate findings, and solicit feedback from stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and evaluate their applicability to our business challenges.

Requirements
Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in a data science role, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions to complex business problems.
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of leading and mentoring teams.
• Expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques, with hands-on experience in tools such as Python.
• Strong programming skills and proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow.
• Experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is preferred.
• Knowledge of deep learning techniques and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience working in industries such as telecommunications, banking & finance, or retail
• Certifications in data science or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, Databricks Machine learning)
• Experience in distributed ML techniques (such as Ray)
