About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our growing AI team. The ideal candidate will combine strong foundations in data science and machine learning with hands-on experience in LLM research, fine-tuning, and deployment. This role is central to building scalable AI-powered solutions that deliver measurable business impact across industries such as publishing, digital advertising, finance, and customer support.

Responsibilities

Model Development & Fine-Tuning

  • Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate LLMs for specific business use cases.
  • Explore domain adaptation and prompt engineering techniques to optimize model outputs.

Data Pipeline & Management

  • Build, maintain, and scale data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and preparing training and evaluation datasets.
  • Develop strategies for synthetic data generation and augmentation to enhance model performance.

Evaluation & Experimentation

  • Define benchmarking methodologies and metrics to evaluate LLM performance (e.g., BLEU, ROUGE, perplexity, task-specific KPIs).
  • Run A/B tests and offline/online experiments to validate improvements.

Applied Research

  • Stay current with advances in LLM research (transformer architectures, retrieval-augmented generation, reinforcement learning with human feedback).
  • Prototype and experiment with cutting-edge methods to push the boundaries of what is possible.

Collaboration & Deployment

  • Partner with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to integrate models into production systems.
  • Contribute to scalable APIs and services supporting LLM-based applications.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in applied machine learning, NLP, or AI research (industry or academia).

Technical Skills

  • Strong programming skills in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers).
  • Hands-on experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data wrangling, and pipeline orchestration.

Other Skills

  • Strong statistical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks and AI governance models.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based ML ops (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Prior work in adtech, publishing, finance, or insurance domains.
  • Contributions to open-source LLM libraries or published research.

Pay range and compensation package

50k PHP to 70k PHP
