The role

As a Product Development Officer at Sydenham Laboratories, Inc., you will play a key role in driving the innovation and growth of our pharmaceutical product portfolio. Based in Dasmarinas City, Cavite, this full-time position will see you collaborate cross-functionally to conceptualize, plan, and execute the development of new market-leading products that improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  1. Develop new products compliant to client and regulatory requirements at the shortest time, quality, and competitive price in the market
  2. Conduct trials on existing products with or without modifications as required by clients.
  3. Conduct physicochemical analyses and stability studies on the results of trials.
  4. Conduct research to support modification of existing products.
  5. Coordinates closely with Product Introduction officer/Production for the scheduling of products for compression, encapsulation, capping, blistering, stripping, and other works related to the pilot batch of a particular product.
  6. Assists in the request of materials needed in the development and helps in follow-up Purchasing
  7. Participate in the conduct of problem solving analysis and design of experiments during product development.
  8. Conducts inventory of materials, finished products, glass wares, fixtures and books of the department
  9. Submits weekly reports to superior on accomplishments, plants, issues and concerns.
  10. Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor from time to time

What we're looking for

  1. 1-2 years of experience in product development or R&D within the food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry
  2. Strong technical expertise in the development of pharmaceutical products
  3. In-depth understanding of relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and product life cycle management
  4. Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  6. A degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology)
