Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring strict adherence to food safety protocols and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene for US Military catering operations. This role involves developing and monitoring food safety programs, conducting inspections and training, and maintaining compliance with HACCP and other international standards. The Food Safety Coordinator will work closely with the kitchen, service, and logistics teams to prevent contamination risks and guarantee safe meal delivery for military personnel.

What You'll Do:

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate food safety records, including training logs, audit reports, and incident reports related to food safety.
  • Program Maintenance: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive food safety plans, procedures, and protocols, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) documentation.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and audits of kitchens, storage areas, and catering venues to ensure compliance with internal and external food safety regulations.
  • Training: Design and implement food safety training programs for all staff levels, from managers to delivery personnel.
  • Risk Management: Identify and report food safety hazards, coordinate corrective actions, and lead investigations into food-related incidents, such as contamination or outbreaks.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure food safety standards are integrated into daily catering activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients or external auditors during food safety inspections.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a food safety or quality assurance role, preferably within the catering, hospitality, or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, and international hygiene standards.
  • Holding a recognized food safety certification such as ServSafe or HACCP Certification is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English communication (both spoken and written).
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for work assignments.
  • Commitment to discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement in food safety practices.

Job Type: Full-time
