Job Overview

The Branch Audit Officer plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and performance of RAFI Micro Finance Inc.'s operations. This role involves planning, executing, reporting, and following up on risk-based and integrated audit engagements across RAFI MFI branches. These audits include operational, financial, compliance, governance, performance, and information systems audits, as well as other assurance and consulting activities.

This position is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail, a strong ethical foundation, and the ability to navigate across different functional areas of an organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct integrated, risk-based audits for RAFI MFI branches, including but not limited to:

  • Operational and performance audits

  • Financial and internal control audits
  • Compliance and governance audits
  • Information systems audits
  • Prepare audit plans, execute fieldwork, and produce well-documented audit reports.
  • Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency, risk management, and internal controls.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and improvements post-audit.
  • Participate in audits of RAFI MFI's Strategic Internal Partners as part of professional development and integration.
  • May be temporarily assigned outside their home region to support audits requiring cross-regional objectivity.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Internal Audit, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferably with at least 1–2 years of relevant audit experience (fresh graduates with strong academic background may be considered).
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and be assigned to various regions (Region VI, VII, VIII) or other locations depending on operational needs.

Additional Notes
  • The position follows a localization strategy, wherein audit officers are ideally assigned within their home regions but may be deployed elsewhere for certain engagements.
  • Audit coverage may also extend to new branches and entities established under RAFI MFI's Strategic Internal Partners.
