Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager for Subrogation and Recovery is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's subrogation and recovery operations. The role ensures efficient handling of claims recoveries from third parties, coordinates with legal teams and external partners, and implements strategies to maximize recovery collections in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor all subrogation and recovery activities within the claims department.
  • Review claim files to determine potential recovery opportunities against responsible third parties.
  • Coordinate with adjusters, legal counsel, and external agencies to pursue recoveries efficiently.
  • Evaluate settlement offers and recommend appropriate action for approval.
  • Maintain proper documentation and tracking of all recovery cases and their statuses.
  • Analyze recovery performance and prepare regular reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance regulations, and legal standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of recovery strategies to improve collection results.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff handling subrogation and recovery matters.
  • Handle escalated or complex recovery cases that require managerial review or negotiation.
