Opening Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of opening machines and related equipment in the production process. This role ensures machinery used to open or prepare raw materials is running at optimal performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on opening machines and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues; replace or repair defective parts.
• Calibrate machines to ensure proper opening, feeding, and blending of materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and work orders.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Ensure machinery is operated safely and according to established protocols.
• Coordinate with production staff to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new opening equipment.
• Recommend improvements to equipment performance and reliability.
• Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
