R&D and Quality Control Officer

Job Summary:
The R&D and Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring product quality, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the successful registration of products. This role also involves supporting product research and development efforts. The position requires a versatile professional capable of managing multiple functions to ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory approvals while contributing to the development of new and improved products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control:
o Oversee and conduct quality control inspections for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
o Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure product consistency and reliability.
o Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and defects.
o Monitor and analyze quality metrics, and propose improvements to enhance product quality.
2. Regulatory Affairs:
o Prepare and submit regulatory documents, applications, and reports to relevant authorities (e.g., FDA, FPA, BAI).
o Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and standards for product safety and efficacy.
o Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and manage regulatory inspections and audits.
o Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on company products and operations.
3. Product Registration:
o Manage the product registration process, including the preparation and submission of registration dossiers.
o Coordinate with internal teams and regulatory agencies to ensure timely product approvals and market access.
o Maintain accurate records of all registration activities and documentation.
4. Product Research and Development:
o Support the research and development process by providing regulatory and quality insights during the product development lifecycle.
o Collaborate with technical team to ensure that new products meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
o Evaluate and contribute to the development of new product formulations, prototypes, and technologies.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for quality control, regulatory affairs, and product development activities.
o Prepare and present reports to management on quality, regulatory compliance, and product development progress.
6. Training and Support:
o Provide training and support to team members on quality control processes, regulatory requirements, and product development procedures.
o Develop and deliver training programs to ensure adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment on quality, regulatory, and product development goals.
o Facilitate communication between departments to address and resolve issues related to product quality and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, regulatory affairs,
product registration, or product development.
Skills:
o Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, regulatory requirements, and product development processes.
o Knowledgeable in product formulation and R&D.
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
