Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects to ensure alignment with approved plans, specifications, and schedules. This role involves close monitoring of construction progress, safety compliance, and quality control.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the assigned construction project is aligned with the approved plan and specifications;
  • Monitor adherence to safety regulations in construction and quality control measures;
  • Keep the site clean and organized to prevent hazards and maintain workflow efficiency;
  • Conduct routine inspection to the assigned project to verify materials used and workmanship meet the required standards;
  • Handle over all complaints of the project;
  • Estimate and evaluate complaints;
  • Ensure that all back jobs of the contractors will be done within 15 days after filing of complaint;
  • Preparation of budgetary estimates;
  • Monitor daily activities at the construction site;
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule;
  • Report daily activities to the Production Head and/or Acting VP for Operations;
  • Prepare daily accomplishment reports with accurate measurements;
  • Check contractors billing and give certification;
  • Make regular reports or update to the Production Head
  • Prepare construction schedule (work program) for submission to the Production Head;
  • Make regular communications with Production Head;
  • Prepare reports needed by the Management;
  • Check and verify material quality during delivery;
  • Give instruction to contractors to surrender unused materials to the warehouse;
  • Submit reports to the Production Head needed for board meeting;
  • Monitor all incoming and outgoing of tools/materials of contractors/laborers
  • Accomplish Requisition Slip; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience as an Assistant Engineer in Construction Industry is preferred, but fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and building codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must
  • With Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) certificate is a plus
