Merchandise Assistant (Luxury Fashion)

Job Summary:

The Merchandise Assistant provides expert support to the day-to-day merchandising operations by managing SAP data and maintaining its data integrity. The role also requires management of inventory records, regular conduct of stock counts, and coordination with store and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient merchandise flow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform the creation of articles, Purchase Orders (POs), and Purchase Info Records (PIRs) in SAP, including maintenance of batch-managed articles.

  2. Maintain and update sales prices in the system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely implementation.

  3. Process and monitor stock movements between the warehouse and the boutique through Stock Transport Orders (STO), ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring stock levels are consistently monitored, tracked, and reported.

  5. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to validate accuracy of actual stocks versus system data.

  6. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and recorded inventory levels, collaborating with warehouse, boutique, and relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.

  7. Prepare and submit the monthly inventory listing to the Merchandise Manager and Accounting team every first working day of the month.

  8. Liaise with IT and technical support teams to resolve SAP data issues and system problems.

  9. Perform others task or responsibilities as may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

· Graduate of any four (4) year business related course or Fashion Merchandising

· At least 2 years relevant experience in merchandising, inventory management and retail operations

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

· Strong sales analysis and forecasting skills

· Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, with strong attention to details and data accuracy
