JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist the Kitchen Leader in managing the store's Kitchen Crew.
  • Assist the Kitchen Leader in administrative works and kitchen reports to be submitted to the Restaurant Manager
  • Ensure standard kitchen procedures are consistently met: in food preparation, cooking procedures, food safety and sanitation.
  • Monitor inventory levels daily and perform weekly inventory assessments
  • Report and be accountable to the Kitchen Leader for the daily Kitchen activities.
  • Maintain standard Kitchen efficiency.
  • Does various reports such as Inventory and Food Costs.
  • Aids the Kitchen Leader in ordering Kitchen Supplies and Stocks
  • Heads the kitchen and performs the duties and responsibilities of the Kitchen Leader in his absence
  • Works with the Kitchen Leader and the Restaurant Manager
  • in coming up with new recipes and perform R&D if necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least with Certification from a Culinary School or Degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
  • At least 1 year experience in the food/restaurant/ hotel industry in the kitchen as a cook
  • Team Player and can work under pressure and a fast-paced environment and extended hours
  • Knowledgeable about food handling and preparation
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation, HACCP and safety regulations
  • Knowledgeable with different kinds of recipes
  • Familiarity with the Korean cuisine is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and has the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Knowledgeable with basic MS Office Programs
  • Familiarity with basic Profit & Loss Report is a plus
  • Knowledgeable with basic food costing
  • Must possess a humble, teachable attitude
  • Must be willing to work in BGC
