We are looking for a Medical Coding Manager / Team Leader with deep expertise in Emergency Department (ED), Injection & Infusion, and Surgery coding. This leadership role is ideal for a certified coding professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and team development.

  • Medical Coding Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of coders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant coding practices.
  • Apply hands-on expertise in ED, Injection & Infusion, and Surgery coding.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct audits and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Training & Development (Assistant Manager Scope)
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance coding accuracy, compliance, and customer service.
  • Govern learning rigor and behavioral standards across the team.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop reinforcement strategies.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve delivery methods.

Qualifications:

  1. Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, or equivalent certification required.
  2. Proven experience in ED, Injection & Infusion, and Surgery coding.
  3. Strong understanding of US RCM processes and clinical documentation.
  4. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring coding teams.
  5. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Ability to relate clinical scenarios to coding and ROI (Release of Information) processes.
  • Experience in performance management and team development.
  • Passion for continuous learning and operational excellence.
