The Credit Investigator is responsible for conducting background checks, field verifications, and on-site investigations to evaluate the creditworthiness of loan applicants. The role involves verifying client information, assessing collateral, and preparing accurate reports to support sound lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations to verify the personal, business, and financial information of loan applicants.
  • Perform background checks, including residence verification, employment/business validation, and neighborhood checks.
  • Assess and validate submitted documents and supporting information for authenticity.
  • Conduct ocular inspection of properties, assets, or collateral offered by applicants.
  • Interview applicants, co-makers, employers, or trade references as part of the credit evaluation process.
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate credit investigation reports for submission to the Credit Manager.
  • Recommend approval or rejection of loan applications based on findings and company policies.
  • Coordinate with the Credit and Collections Department for follow-up on accounts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of client data in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned to support credit operations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any business-related course, criminology, or equivalent field.
  • With at least 1–2 years of relevant experience in credit investigation, collections, or related work (experience in a lending or financial institution is an advantage).
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to do extensive fieldwork and travel to various client locations.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Work Conditions

  • Field-based work with regular reporting to the branch office.
  • Requires flexibility in schedule depending on investigation assignments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php18,150.00 per month
